Hi, hoping for some help. I have a 32/36 DFAV fitted to a 1676cc beetle. I am having trouble setting the fast idle as the cam does not return far enough to allow a setting against the adjusting screw. What could be the cause of this?

Also, I am having trouble with overfueling when cold and once warm on hard accel, causing backfiring, any pointers please.
