The DCD7 is an old type of DCD that features Sequential throttle opening, ie both throttle plates open together. This was replaced by the DCD14 which was modified to progressive throttle opening and which is still available through Webcon.

The DCD differs from the DGV/DGAV series in that the chokes can be changed whereas in the DGV series they are fixed. The DCD is a great carburettor but more expensive than the DGV.

How much would it cost more or less in South African Rands? And where could I get hold of it in S.A?

I looked at my DCD...and first stage opens before 2nd stage. Is this normal? The way u explained it...both must open together.

It may well have been modified to the later style and for most uses, this is what you want as it gives you the economy of a single choke carb in light throttle use and the power of a twin choke carb when you put your foot down

note on a DCD, they use air corrector jets that are not standard. However, the main jets fit where the air corrections jets go.
