Hi folks
I have a gold alpha kit fitted to my zetec in my kitcar. I'm having strange problems getting it to run properly.
I've followed the instructions for setting up the throttle bodies. when started, the engine runs very slow and almost stalls. A bit throttle and it goes ok. Adjusting the idle screws speeds the idle up a little... and it takes off, up to about 2000rpm. backing off the idle screws does little until, all of a sudden it drops like a stone to around 700rpm, runs like a bag of spanners, then stalls. I dont know if the previous owner tinkered with the throttle pot- could this be causing the problem?? Is there way to reset the pot? when running at 2000rpm, a shot of the synchronometer shows the TB's are reasonably well balanced.
Any help appreciated

| Hello Graham. Its probably best if you discuss this directly with our Alpha Engineers. They can be reached on 01932 750252 and will be happy to help rectify the problem you have with your system |
