Hi All.
I want to restore fuel system in my Ford Sierra LX, 1.6 OHC wth 28/30 DFTH 9A (Germany), but someone before cutted all he could...
1. bi-metal automatic choke wire was cutted and connected by separate wire direct to generator (?). I haven't found the wiring diagram for this modification of Sierra, so questions are:
1. does choke must be constanly under voltage, even after startup?
2. where choke wire must be correctly connected to?
3. Where vacuum tube for air preheat device must be connected to?
4. For me available only Meat&Doria's carb repair kits:
W549.1, W550.1, W551.1 - what on them applicabte to my carb?
5. Fuel vapour separator is absent, pipe from fuel pump feed firectly to carb, fuel return absent. Original Ford's separator costs too much, abt $30. Some say that I can use separator from some 1990 years VW. Does anyone know about it?
