i have recently purchased a spartan roadster based on a ford chassis with a 2L ford pinto sohc engine fitted, the head is being done to stage 2 with a piper fast road cam kit,at the moment it has a single 32/36 DFAV weber carb, what i would like to know is:- what suitable twin choke weber can i use to compliment the current head work that is being done and the possible gains i would get from such upgrading.
any reply's would be grateful. _________________ crapper didn't invent the toilet |

you could put a 38 DGAS weber on that manifold. the issue is that the linkage is slightly different and the linkage will be on the "other " barrel.
you would get about 15% more power with the DGAS carb _________________ Jim Hilton

38 DGAS is often used as a replacement for the carter BBD used on 70s/80s jeeps
i've had one off a jeep to replace a godawful carter BBD on a mopar it worked well
new is probably still the best.
