| Emulsion tubes of different diameters....does if make a diff if they are F30 for eg and one set is thinner and the other thicker in dia? |

you have f30 emulsion tubes and theya re different diameters???
ive seen venturies differ. spanish ones look different to italian ones but noy emulsion tubes....possibly from only haveing 1 set of spanish carbs

yes it will
unless the hole they bolted into was also different
the idea is a precisely measured quanitiy of fuel in that hole
which is why you get your float level right
the more brass emulsion tube there is in that hole the less fuel there is
all dimentions apart from length and the thread at the top of the emulsion tube effect operations
holes, number of and position
inner bore size
the air hole pressed into the top of it
and if yours are fatter on the outside dimater that has to as well unless the emulsion tube hole in the carb they came from was fatter...
my maths isn't good enough to get into volumes of cylinders of fuel inside and outside the emulsion tube.
