Someone please help me with this problem,
I'm looking for a replacement kit for my Solex 70852 carburettor, I’ve been told Solex no longer manufacture these kits?! If the existing carburettor cannot be refurbished is there a replacement carburettor out there which will suit my vehicle?
I’ve been looking at the 34 ICT Weber carburettor... was told this universal unit would be adequate for any engine bellow 2000cc?! Am I correct in believing I would need a conversion kit for my specific vehicle? I’ve not seen one listed for my camper however, am I be overly optimistic in hoping the 34 ICT will fit directly to the manifold? The Renault Trafic has a standard double bolt connection between the manifold and carb, so does the Weber carb. I wanted to check the bolt fixing centres before purchasing... but I’ve not found any technical info.
I’d really appreciate any help... Thanks, James
